Handmade unbroken Baby Pelham bit. Stable bit made of mild steel, suitable for horses that need support in finding contact. Specially developed for horses that have sensitive corners, jaws and are easily injured or scratched. The shank is slightly curved forward and upwards, copying the natural shape of the mouth and tongue.

Sweet steel is more acceptable to horses due to its taste and is popular with very picky horses. Loose rings allow smooth pressure release. The rotation of the rings ensures greater freedom of the bit in the horse's mouth and discourages it from getting stuck in the bit. It will enable the rider to react quickly and accurately.

The bit is permitted for racing.

Suitable for horses that:

they are sensitive but strong
they fall out of touch and are unstable
they don't stay in touch
they don't try to look for contact and raise their necks high

The advantage of the Baby Pelham bit is that the rider can choose the intensity of the bit. By attaching the reins to the upper ring, the bit acts more gently, and a leverage effect occurs in the lower ring. If you prefer to use a pelham coupling, only one rein is used. With two reins, you have the option of choosing the strength of the bit by shortening or lengthening the rein that is attached to the lower ring. If you add pressure to the lever reins, the bit will work harder and the horse's neck will lower.
