The tongue bow has a special, flattened shape of the bow. This gives the tongue an optimal amount of space. Many horses react to this with improved looseness and increased chewing activity. But the bit is also very suitable for so-called tongue players, who try to stick their tongue over the bit, because the bow effectively prevents this. This mouthpiece is therefore ideal for horses that do not like to tolerate conventionally shaped bits because of the pressure on the tongue and react with head banging or similar. The bit fits perfectly in the mouth due to its slight curvature. Pressure on the reins changes the angle of the mouthpiece in the mouth and, due to its special shape, leads to increased action on the lower jaw load and tongue. The sculpted transition from the mouthpiece to the bit rings makes it impossible to pinch the lips and also gives the bit a particularly stable lateral hold. The shape of the bit is particularly suitable for working with young horses.
