Optimal application with minimum consumption. For the repellent to work properly, it is very important to apply it evenly so that it covers the entire area it is supposed to protect. By combining spray and gel, we achieve maximum efficiency with minimum consumption.

Not only people from horses are looking forward to the warmer weather, but also ubiquitous insect predators such as midges, midges and ticks. Insects react strongly to smells. The warmer it is outside, the more we and our horses sweat, and the insects won't leave us alone. Repellents can help here. But they mostly work on the basis of creating an unpleasant smell.
With the RP1 product line, we have found a solution to this problem. The effective component of these repellents – icaridin – has an almost neutral smell and therefore does not burden people or horses with an unpleasant smell. It is a frequently used active ingredient in repellants for humans. Insects perceive smell differently. Molecules of substances dissolved in the air bind to receptors and trigger, in the case of icaridin, a repellent nerve reaction. As a repellent, icaridin repels insects without killing them. When RP1 is applied to the coat, a thin protective layer is formed due to the volatility of the active substance, which protects for several hours. In addition, the active substance Icaridin is very gentle on the skin, so it is also used for human preparations.

Repellent RP1 is sold as a spray in a 500 ml bottle with an atomizer or in a smaller 75 ml bottle for better handling, for larger consumption it is advisable to buy an economical package in a 2.5 l canister. There is also a Roll on, an ideal pocket package for traveling with your four-legged friend, and a gel for more precise application.

The most effective application is a combination of spray and gel. RP1 spray takes care of larger areas such as the neck, back or trunk, where it can be applied evenly with a syringe. RP1 gel is applied to places unsuitable for surface spraying, such as the head, around the eyes and nostrils or the abdomen. Spraying the belly area often ends up with more repellent on the ground than on the horse's belly. By applying the gel with a sponge, the active substance reaches exactly where it should act.

This product is subject to an import approval process under the Ministries of Agriculture and Health. The company Ghoda s.r.o. is the only approved and authorized importer of these Stiefel products to the Czech Republic. Details of the importer and the approval number are mandatory on the label of each product. Products that do not contain this information on the label are imported to the Czech Republic illegally and do not meet the high quality standards of the Stiefel company. These may be fakes, expired or diluted goods. Using them can endanger your horse's health.
