The Winderen Gel Bit System bits are made of a well-accepted and horse-friendly synthetic gel, which is characterized by very good biting resistance.
Gel Bit System - this is an innovative approach to riders who use more than one bit during training. You can combine each of our gel bits with any bit rings from our collection to create just the bit you need at the moment. The whole process of changing the rings is very easy and takes only a little time.

For more than three years, we carried out thorough tests and observations, the result of which was the development of the final concept of the Gel Bit System bits. During this time, our solution has been tested by hundreds of horses and riders of various levels.

This wide test group, consisting of professional as well as amateur and hobby riders, helped us gain important insights and resulted in the creation of a gel that was accepted by the vast majority of test horses and at the same time showed unusual resistance to biting. Riders who have participated in testing have noted that a significant number of their horses like to chew on our bits, they release faster when used, and the bit also helps eliminate the nutcracker effect. During the work, the horses provided the riders with the right contact and also good permeability, which made it possible to make the training sessions even more efficient and free.

With an emphasis on horse health:

The synthetic gel from which Winderen bits are made has been thoroughly tested and is absolutely safe for horses.
The gel received an internationally recognized FDA certificate, which is proof of high quality and safety. Thanks to this, you can be sure that the horse can chew on the Winderen bit as much as he likes without endangering his health.

Biting resistance:

During development, the need to combine the comfort of a soft bit with biting resistance proved to be the biggest challenge. However, after many tests, it was finally achieved. The soft, gel structure of the bit is suitable for chewing and at the same time it is extremely resistant to biting.

We have done many tests with horses that previously disposed of synthetic bits like on a treadmill, much to the dismay of their owners. Our bit passed the tests with these horses almost flawlessly. However, in order to make sure of the real durability of this material, we also invited dogs to test it. They, as carnivores, have a much stronger grip and sharper teeth. Winderen bits showed themselves in a good light in this case as well.
We assure you that during the tests with dogs no harm was done to these animals, on the contrary, it was fun for the dogs :)

System of replaceable pins and rings:

We know very well that choosing the right bit is almost a challenge. The needs of each horse change over time, so during the development of the Winderen Gel Bits System we wanted to make it as easy as possible to choose the right bit depending on the specifics and needs of your horse.

That's why we developed a system of replaceable pins and rings. This innovative solution makes it possible to combine any of our bits with the entire range of our bit rings, which allows you to create a large number of different modifications and adjust the functioning of our bits. It is also worth noting that it is possible to change the rings and rings as many times as you like, without the need for outside help and in a very short time.

Compatibility with FEI standards:

One of the priorities we set during the development of our bits was their compatibility with the standards of the FEI organization. In this way, we have created bits suitable for parkour, dressage, as well as the military discipline, which are characterized by the following properties, among others:
