The tongue bow has a special, flattened shape of the bow. This gives the tongue an optimal amount of space. Many horses react to this with improved looseness and increased chewing activity. But the bit is also very suitable for so-called tongue players, who try to stick their tongue over the bit, because the bow effectively prevents this. This mouthpiece is therefore ideal for horses that do not like to tolerate conventionally shaped bits because of the pressure on the tongue and react with head banging or similar. The thigh snaffle lies very quietly and stably in the mouth. It provides reliable lateral containment without the risk of pinching skin and chaps due to the angled bars. This bit is suitable for horses that need clear lateral support and guidance when turning away. This can be both strong but also young, inexperienced horses. This bit is preferably used by show jumpers in order to be able to ride fast turns. The second rein on the pull-on snaffle leads to a tilting and pulling up of the bit in the mouth gap when more pressure is applied. This means an increased impact. Very good for horses that tend to lie down on the bit. Can also be used on horses to achieve increased straightening.
