The latest inhaler in the Free range - a powerful ultrasonic nebulizer that is mobile as an "all-in-one solution" and comes to you in a practical transport box.

We have made our best ultrasound technology as compact as possible and combined it with an ergonomic mask. The two-chamber system enables very hygienic atomization of table salt, brine and medicines. This makes cleaning simple and uncomplicated. Our inhalation capsules ensure very little wear and tear on the device, so subsequent costs are very low.

As a world first, here is another accessory for our new inhaler. With the new inhalation sticks, you can make the therapy even more effective. Different varieties such as eucalyptus, thyme, clary sage and lavender can be used as aromatherapy to help with a variety of issues. Inhalation sticks are not included in the package.

Which size to choose?

The Equosonic free is currently available in one size. This has been tested from Mini Shetty (not ideal) to Pony (very good), COB and Warmblood (very good) to FULL (good). For very wide noses, we recommend purchasing our large padding.

Technology

Ultrasonic nebulizers are used to treat all respiratory diseases of various origins. The mist is generated using mechanical vibrations of 1.7 MHz (medical ultrasonic nebulizers) which are generated in distilled water (contact water). These vibrations are created by piezoceramic components that convert electrical vibrations into mechanical vibrations. An aquapak® system is inserted into the contact fluid to physically separate the medical nebulizer and the nebulizer unit. Mechanical vibrations penetrate through their base and spread into the inhalation liquid. They lead to the formation of capillary waves on the surface of the NaCl/drug solution, which rise exponentially with increasing excitation frequency

Our ultrasonic nebulizers from the equosonic series reach droplet sizes of 0.5 to 5 µm with an output of up to 6.5 ml/min. They get into the upper and lower respiratory tract. This distinguishes ultrasonic nebulizers from technically simpler compressor nebulizers, as the main functional part of the respiratory tract with its very large surface (bronchial system, alveolar system of the lungs) is fully reached.

More than 95% of the surface of the respiratory system is located below the larynx. The bronchial system has bronchioles the diameter of a human hair in its finest branches, and targeted application of nebulized agents must cross a threshold of less than 5/1000 mm (5 microns) to reach the alveolar structures. (alveoli).
This means that most nebulized particles must be less than 5 microns in size.

Our ultrasound nebulizers from the equosonic series (private, clinical, free) work with a frequency of oscillation of the ceramic membrane of 1.7 MHz. This creates long-lived particles of 0.5-5 µm (microns).
Due to the high ventilation rates in the fine bronchioles, effective inhalation must take place quietly, i.e. with a low frequency of breathing. The animal should not be moved beforehand and moving the animal immediately after treatment is not helpful.
